VIANEX GROUP: Double distinction PLATINUM awards in “Pharmacy Market Excellence 2021”
Четверг, 11 марта 2021, 15:17The VIANEX Group won two important PLATINUM awards at this year's ‘Pharmacy Market Excellence Awards 2021’ the respected institution which recognises best practices in the pharmaceuticals market. The VIANEX awards were in the categories “New pharmaceutical product launch” and “Corporate social responsibility in the pharmaceutical market during the period of the pandemic.” Due to the special circumstances, the awards were announced live at an online event held on Wednesday, March 10, in the digital presence of many representatives of the pharmaceutical industry.
Specifically, VIANEX SA and VIAN SA, companies in the Giannakopoulos Group , won a PLATINUM Award for the launch of the new OTC pharmaceutical preparation Depon Cold & Flu® through pharmacies. The Group also won an award for Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives in the pharmaceutical market during the pandemic, for the special “Thank you” campaign supporting the continuous efforts and contributions of the country's healthcare Professionals, as well as for its actions in response to the pandemic, including upgrading the Multipurpose Regional Clinic in Megisti (Kastellorizo), donations of medical supplies and equipment, monitoring devices and disinfection equipment to large hospitals across the country and pharmaceutical medicines to welfare pharmacies and facilities, etc.
Mr Dimitris P. Giannakopoulos, Presidednt of BoD and CEO of the VIANEX Group, had the following to say about the awards received by the company: “In a year full of challenges, like this year, these high distinctions inspire us and give us the strength to continue our work tirelessly, responsibly and with the aim of responding to the demands of the market. The General Manager of VIAN SA, Mr. Dimitris Moraitis, had the following to say in his opening speech: "The Greek pharmacy was and is the fortress of primary care and self-care for all of our fellow citizens. This was clearly demonstrated throughout the continuous waves of the pandemic that we are all still experiencing. Due to the efforts of every pharmacist and every assistant individually, all citizens had unhindered access to pharmaceutical products, and by extension to health. A thank you is the very least that we owe them”.
