VIANEX Group supports the Hadjikonsta Foundation
الإثنين، 24 كانون2/يناير 2022 11:26The VIANEX Group, as a particularly important part of its social responsibility and solidarity initiatives, has made a substantial donation to the Georgios & Aikaterini Hadjikonsta Foundation. Specifically, the Group was able to play a catalytic role in the complete renovation of the Foundation's accommodation areas, with the aim of promoting the well-being of the children and creating a beautiful, harmonious and warm environment to make their daily life more pleasant and creative.
The Georgios & Aikaterini Hadjikonsta Foundation for the Educational Care of Young People is the oldest foundation still operating after the reconstitution of the Greek state. The Foundation has been providing services as a not-for-profit organisation for the past 160 years and continues to support children in need of care and assistance with consistency and love, offering a home, care and education for boys and girls aged 6 to 18 years old. The goal of the Hadjikonsta Foundation has always been to be able to put a smile on children’s faces and to give them hope, while laying the right foundations for a better future.
The President and CEO of VIANEX Group, Mr. Dimitris P. Giannakopoulos, emphasised the following with regard to this new donation by the VIANEX Group and VIAN: ‘Putting into practice the values we stand for, at VIANEX Group we try to ‘hear’ the people around us, and we try to respond to the cries for help we hear wherever we can. We collaborated with the Hadjikonsta Foundation, being aware of the important work it has been doing over many years during which they have offered a warm, family environment for the children living in its facilities, so that the children can have a more beautiful and pleasant everyday life, with all the warmth and comfort possible, so that they are able to look to their future with even more optimism and hope, because they deserve it!’
The Chairwoman of the Hadjikonsta Foundation, Mrs. Vasiliki Gennimata said the following with regard to the donation from the VIANEX Group: “It is with great pleasure and gratitude that we have accepted this donation, which gives the children for whom we provide accommodation the opportunity to feel even more comfortable and at home in a renovated and well-maintained space. Initiatives like this, as well as the positive response from our residents, give us the strength we need to continue our work with dedication every day”.
From its inception up to the present day, VIANEX has shown its unfailing support for people and communities, with a strong sense of responsibility, respect and practical contributions to a wide variety of programs and action initiatives.
