VIANEX Steady growth in the last decade, with sales on an upward trajectory for 2020

With total consolidated sales for 2019 reaching an amount of EUR 301.3 million, VIANEX recorded an increase of 8.8% compared to 2018, and a double-digit increase in the two years 2017-2018 of 19.4%. With exceptional manufacturing capabilities at its four privately-owned state-of-the-art manufacturing plants, VIANEX has expertise across the entire spectrum of pharmaceutical products and continues to evolve.
Applying a modern business model of production, VIANEX simultaneously implements a broad range of investment programs with internationally-oriented strategic business moves. Thus the export sector is an activity of particular importance, now accounting for 20% of the company's total sales for 2019. The continuous increase of export activity is further verification of the quality of VIANEX products and services, which now have a presence in export markets with products approved for circulation in 56 countries around the world. The growing strength of its export presence over the last decade is indicative of its rapid development: the company’s exports amounted to EUR 18.7 million in 2010, while by 2019 they had reached EUR 51.2 million, showing an increase of 173%.
In addition, the VIANEX Group offers practical support for employment in Greece and is contributing to the recovery of the national economy, continuing to invest in human resources and providing jobs, even during periods in which we face the greatest economic challenges of recent years. The company's total recruitment over the last decade has equalled 727 jobs, with average recruitment of 66 persons per year. The company currently employs 1,242 people, marking a 21% increase in staff in the last decade. 57% of our employees are men, and 43% are women.
2019 was a milestone year for the VIANEX Group, when it acquired the company PHARMANEL SA. This acquisition consolidates the continued expansion and upgrading of the company's services and aims to further strengthen its position in the market for generic products.
