VIANEX supports the remote islands in cooperation with the Aegean Team
2021年四月20日 08:26, 星期二VIANEX, the leading Greek pharmaceutical company, remaining faithful to its commitment to stand in support of Greek communities, is working with the Civil Non-Profit Community Organisation Aegean Team, to cover the needs of students from remote islands with regard to distance learning due to the pandemic. With the aim of supporting people who live in the remotest border regions of the country, VIANEX has donated 45 tablets to students in Ios, Patmos, Thymaina and Agathonisi.
Mr Dimitris P. Giannakopoulos, President of BoD and CEO of the VIANEX Group, had the following to say about the donation: “We are committed to standing in support of people who live on the remotest islands who, especially now, need our support more than ever. Being aware of the needs brought about by the pandemic, we decided to offer much-needed equipment to students on the islands to ensure they have unhindered access to distance learning”.
The President of the Aegean Team, Denise Tsimis, had this to say about the initiative: “I would like to thank VIANEX, and also Mr Giannakopoulos personally, on behalf of the Aegean Group for their support of our project in the small border islands.
Such direct actions demonstrate the company’s truly strong sense of social responsibility, making them it of the regular supporters of the Aegean Team”.
