Heartfelt gifts from the VIANEX Group for this year’s holiday season
2021年12月20日 12:24, 星期一The VIANEX Group has shown unfailing support for people and communities ever since it began operating, acting out of a strong sense of duty, responsibility and respect, and extending a helping hand wherever it can through practical contributions to a wide variety of programmes and action initiatives. Fully aware of the difficulties, and standing in solidarity with people who are experiencing particularly hard times, the VIANEX Group was able to offer a variety of gifts during this year's holiday season, with love, hope and optimism for better days to come.
This year in particular, the VIANEX Group provided special support for the non-profit company ‘Merimna’, which provides quality care and support for children and parents who have experienced losses within their family. As part of this, the company chose to support the work of the NGO in a practical way, by commissioning Merimna to make the customary New Year’s good luck charms which were designed exclusively for the Group and given to all of their employees.
As part of the Group's annual Solidarity Programme, VIANEX and VIAN employees also presented Christmas gifts to 3 large nursing homes for the elderly in Greece. These were the Agioi Anargyri Philanthropic Foundation Nursing Home in Sparta, which is located about 10 km from the centre of the village of Sellasia, where the Giannakopoulos family originally come from, The Good SamaritanNursing Home in Thessaloniki, and the Poulidio Nursing Home in Kavala. The VIANEX Management are offering additional support by supplying this year's Christmas celebration meal for the residents of the homes.
Lastly, in collaboration with the Municipality of Metamorfosi, the Group is also covering the cost of the Love at Christmas Parcels for people receiving assistance from the Municipality's Help at Home Programme.
In these ways, through small but practical steps, the VIANEX Group is able to stand in solidarity with communities across Greece, not only in the capital city, but elsewhere in the northern, central and southern provinces.
The President and CEO of VIANEX Group, Mr. Dimitris P. Giannakopoulos, refers to the atmosphere in this year’s celebrations: "It is a long-standing commitment of the VIANEX Group to stand alongside local communities, to listen to their needs, and offer what we can. And in this year’s holiday season we made the effort to reach out to even more parts of Greece, to spread a little more warmth, comfort and optimism for the future even further”.
