This plant was the first plant to be designed and built by VIANEX, employing the most advanced Japanese technology.
From 1977 when it came into operation until the present day, the ultramodern facilities have ensured excellent production conditions, with strict adherence to the Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) rules as specified under Greek (EOF) and European legislation, and global certification organizations.
This plant specialises in the production of sterile liquids, semi-solid products and suspensions. Products belonging to a number of international pharmaceutical groups are exclusively prepared in Plant A for international export.
It includes:
- Production areas with seven separate production lines:
- Sterile dry injectable products
- Sterile liquid injectables in vial and ampoule form
- Sterile parenteral solutions
- Liquid products & suspensions (two sections)
- Semisolid products
- Packing areas with seven independent and automatic packaging lines.
- Quality control department with fully equipped modern laboratories and high-level scientific personnel.
- Central department for product development.
- Storage spaces which are specifically designed for the safe storage of materials and finished products.
- Facilities which support the overall production process.
- Independent power generator.
