In 1983, VIANEX purchased its second plant from the International Pharmaceutical Group Sterling-Winthrop. The complete renovation of the plant, the modernisation of automated machinery and major investments in efficient air treatment systems and high efficiency filters, made Plant B an innovative and environmentally friendly pharmaceutical production unit, specialising in non-sterile solid drug forms (tablets, capsules, granules).
Its internationally certified systems, coupled with regular inspections by both the EOF and international certification bodies, ensure maximum quality and reliability of products. It is for this reason that well-known Pharmaceutical Groups from abroad have entrusted VIANEX Plant B with the exclusive production of their products for export both to European Union countries and throughout the world.
This unit consists of:
- Production areas with automated production lines controlled by state of the art electronic systems.
- Quality Control Laboratories equipped with the most up to date electronic and automated instruments.
- Storage areas with controlled conditions for raw material, packaging material and final products.
- High specification sampling and weighing areas.
- Large refrigeration chambers equipped with the most up-to-date and reliable safety systems for vaccinations and other sensitive products.
- Ancillary areas for optimum production system support, and staff facilities.
- Modern administrative offices and a special unit for supervision of the plant’s computer-based network.
