It is noted that the Fire Academy and its Schools offer high-level academic and firefighting studies to new candidates, while particular importance is placed on the expansion and upgrading of training programs provided to third parties, as well as to the development of the sense of self-protection in society as a whole in matters of fires and political protection. The Fire Academy includes the following Schools: the Fire Lieutenant School, the Chief Firefighter School, the Firefighters’ School, the Training & Continuing Education School and the National School of Civil Protection (ESPOP).
The President and CEO of VIANEX Group, Mr. Dimitris P. Giannakopoulos, noted the following on the VIANEX Group’s donation to the Fire Academy: “Last summer we all experienced a huge ecological disaster, with a major fire reaching our doorstep, causing great damage to buildings and homes, and ultimately devouring thousands of acres of forest land. Of course, we all witnessed the superhuman effort made by the Firefighters. It is therefore very important that our Firefighters, new and old, are provided with the appropriate supplies and training to be able to effectively deal with the increasing number of these incidents. Bearing this in mind, I am particularly happy that the VIANEX Group is supporting the Fire Academy in developing new buildings to house such valuable and necessary training for the new generation of firefighters.”
